Accessibility Statement

LAST REVIEWEDAugust, 2026

Our Commitment

American Flight Schools is committed to making our website usable by as many people as possible, including pilots and prospective students who use assistive technology. We want anyone interested in flying to be able to find training information, contact our team, and book a flight without barriers.

We treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a one-time project, and we review the site as we add pages and features.

Conformance Status

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines are the international standard for making web content more accessible to people with disabilities.

STANDARD
WCAG 2.1 Level AA
STATUS
Partially conformant — some content does not yet fully conform
LAST REVIEWED
[Insert date]
METHOD
Internal review with automated testing and manual keyboard and screen reader checks

Known Exceptions

We are aware of the following areas where content may not yet fully meet Level AA, and we are working to address them:

  • Third-party embeds. Scheduling, payment, and mapping tools are provided by outside vendors and we do not control their code. We raise issues with those vendors as we find them.
  • Older documents. Some archived PDFs and forms may not be fully tagged for screen readers. We will provide an accessible version on request.
  • Historic photography. A small number of older images may have incomplete alternative text. We are reviewing the media library.
  • Video captions. Some older video content may lack captions or transcripts.

Tell us if something is hard to use

If you run into a page, form, or document you cannot use, we want to hear about it. Tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using. We aim to respond within three business days.

Accessibility at Our Facilities

Our airport facilities vary in age and layout. If you have questions about access to a specific location, parking, or aircraft, contact the team at that airport before your visit and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Medical certification requirements for pilots are set by the FAA and are separate from this statement. Our team can talk through the options available to you.
