Members and guests are welcome at everything on the calendar. Ground school sessions, safety seminars, fly-in breakfasts and cookouts run all year across our locations.
Western Air Flight Academy’s Private/Sport Pilot Ground School course cover all the knowledge topics you need to pass the FAA written examination. Classes run Sundays, 2PM-5PM and Thursdays, 6-9pm. Course fee is $300 plus required Private Pilot training materials, all available at our Front Desk.
This seminar is ground training where you will learn the basics of how to fly in Colorado’s mountains. You will learn the fundamentals of performance considerations, developing go-no-go judgment skills, mountain flight planning, and developing confidence for mountain flying.
Start on the path to your Instrument rating with Western Air’s Instrument Ground School. This course will provide you with all the ground training necessary to pass the FAA Instrument written exam. The class is Mondays and Fridays 5pm to 8pm.
